Griffiths provided site engineering services for improvements to the Candor Central School District through the District Architect. Project included a multi-phased site package at the Middle/High School, and the Elementary School.
A project was developed to address traffic safety concerns at the District Campus on State Route 96. Griffiths investigated a number of alternatives to develop an alternative entrance from the State Highway. Griffiths then progressed the design of a new entrance and worked closely with the NYSDOT. The resulting project included a new two way entrance onto Campus, new traffic circulation patterns for buses and parent drop off, improvements to parking facilities, drainage, and site utilities, and the replacement of curbs, and sidewalks.
A later Phase site package included coordinating three new entrance vestibules, relocation of associated utilities, new sidewalks, plaza work, hardscapes and landscaping. Work also included improvements to existing roof drainage systems through new downspouts and infiltration practices.
